How to start

Text an MC# or DOT# to (866) 394-3451

  1. Text an MC#, DOT# or carrier name, for example MC 123456. We reply once with that carrier's FMCSA record.
  2. Reply WATCH to receive recurring alerts about that carrier. Replying WATCH is your consent to receive recurring automated texts from VerifyCarrier at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  3. Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts, and HELP for help.

We never text a number that has not texted us first. Teammates join by texting the number themselves.

What you receive

  • A one-time reply to each lookup you text.
  • After you reply WATCH: an alert when FMCSA public records show a change to the watched carrier's operating authority, insurance filings, out-of-service status, name, address or phone.
  • A weekly check-in on Mondays that states whether we saw changes and the date of our latest FMCSA data.

Message frequency varies with how often the carrier's records change. Alerts and check-ins are sent between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your local time. Message and data rates may apply.

One carrier can be watched free per phone number. Watch up to 50 carriers by email with Carrier watch.

  • Frequency: varies. One reply per lookup; alerts when records change; one weekly check-in per watched carrier.
